Last Night (2/26/11), we attended the Leecifer & Paul Kaiju Custom Show at Super7 in San Francisco, CA. The weather was nice and sunny but bit a chilly. The forecast earlier in the week suggested it might rain yesterday but it didn't which was great. We got there before the show started and had time to look at all the pieces in the show. The store itself is busy with regular folks who shops in the Upper Haight. The turnout was great and the customs were awesome!!! There was also 2 new toy releases as well. The First one was the debut release of Leecifer's Honoo Monster Family figure and the second figure was a new colorway for Paul Kaiju's Partyball Monster Family figure.
Leecifer brought out a whole bunch of customs and paintings too! He had custom Honoos, Mummy Gator, Visighost, etc... Paul Kaiju brought Boss Carrions, Seagool Resins, Dissected Partyball etc... In all the were so many customs to choose from. I think the question is how are you going to pick the one you want the most?
Leecifer is a Bay Area artist and always brings the heat with a lot of customs and paintings. We're always excited to see what he has in store for us at shows. He adds a lot of character to the figures that he paints like batman etc... and has a unique painting style. It was really awesome to see more of Paul Kaiju's stuff. His stuff is pretty hard to get considering his huge fan base and that whoever was in SF last night got the chance to see so much of Paul's customs/work in person and to get the chance of owning one of his creations. The dissected Partyball was stunning and so awesome. The intricate details is amazing. If we had won the lotto, this would've been a no brainer but sadly no deep pockets here.
Thanks to Super7 for hosting the show! Thank you to Paul Kaiju for coming up all the way for So Cal and Leecifer for coming out and both bringing the heat with all their customs and paintings.
Be sure to check Super7's online shop to pick up the latest Monster Family Figures from Leecifer and Paul Kaiju and also any customs that are still left.
